Railroad Earth, the progressive bluegrass sextet from New Jersey, will be releasing its new album January 14, 2014. The album, Last of the Outlaws, is the group’s seventh and the second for One Haven Music. Led by the Todd Sheaffer composed single “Chasin’ a Rainbow”, the album will feature a new, multi-movement song entitled “All That’s Dead May Live Again/Face with a Hole”. Proving again they are not afraid to throw down a jam, this ambitious piece clocks in at 21 minutes!
Some of these songs have been getting played in recent live shows and “Chasin’ a Rainbow” has been released to radio stations nationwide. Many of the tunes were played during RRE’s first ever Southeastern New Years run, a 3-night stand at The Orange Peel in Asheville, NC Dec 29, 30 and 31.
“Dear RRE fans ~ We ask with the deepest sincerity and kindness that you support us in the release of our newest album, “Last of the Outlaws,” and pre-order your copy NOW for release next week, January 14th. With your support on this release, it will help to increase Railroad Earth’s opportunities to continue to deliver you great music both on the road and from the studio. So, your support is essential to us!” – Posted on Railroad Earth’s Facebook Page
